This page is devoted to the Immortal boys-- in other words, you will find Highlander fanfiction stories here which are based on the belief that the relationship between Duncan MacLeod and Methos has more possibilities than was ever seen on the television screen. These stories include adult themes and depictions of same sex relationships. If you are under 18 or offended by such things, do me a favor and get out of the Zone. Stories will be rated separately.
(Highlander, its concept and characters, belong to Panzer/Davis Productions, et al. They are used herein without permission, however other characters and the stories are Copyright, C.L. Finn. I think I have fixed the problems that people were having accessing some of my stories. Please let me know if anyone has any more problems getting to a story.
"Who touches the body, however fleetingly, also touches the soul." - David Leavitt, While England Sleeps.
This story arc begins in the fifth season of Highlander and follows canon events through to the end of the series as we know it. It's not quite complete, but will be soon, muses willing.
Lost in the Remembering- Set after Through a Glass Darkly, this story is purely gen, but is the beginning of the IB arc as far as I'm concerned. Methos is greiving Alexa, and Duncan is dealing with ghosts of his own.
These Dreams of You
Sometimes absence does make the heart grow fonder. Duncan MacLeod is missing the presence of a certain old man, who he had grown accustomed to having sprawled out on his green leather couch with a beer. Set during the first half of season five. (Rated R)
"A dream is the answer to a question we haven't yet learned how to ask." -Fox Mulder
Homecoming
When Methos reappears during "The Messenger", Duncan decides to take a leap of faith. Can a Clan Chieftain's son and cynical ancient Immortal find common ground and shelter from the Game? (Rated NC-17)
"When you look into my eyes, And you see the crazy gypsy in my soul, It always comes as a surprise, When I feel my withered roots begin to grow... Home is just another word for you." -Billy Joel
Interdependence-
After Methos' past returns with a vengeance (not to mention bad hair and nails), he and Duncan have to learn to balance the past with friendship in the wake of a strange Quickening. I finally put part III up! This little piece has been the most frustrating thing I ever wrote. I'm still not completely happy with it, but here it is.
"Friendship is composed of a single soul inhabiting two bodies." -Aristotle
I. Connection: The Horsemen and their aftermath.
II. Understanding: Epilogue to Forgive Us Our Trespasses.
III. Territory: Healing after Modern Prometheus
Angel Lost
Richie's death and the millennium prophecy threaten to destroy the Highlander, and Methos may be the only person who can help. (Rated R)
"The glory of friendship is not the outstretched hand, nor the kindly smile, nor the joy of companionship; it is the spiritual inspiration that comes to one when he discovers that someone else believes in him and is willing to trust him." -- Ralph Waldo Emerson
The Question
Methos returns to Paris after a two year absence, only to watch Duncan sacrifice himself for his friends. Where do they go from here in the wake of Liam O'Rourke? This story will complete my arc of canon-based stories. (Rated NC-17, barely)Ack! Me without a quote... never fear, I'll find one. <g>
Songs of the Open Road
"Camerado, I give you my hand!
I give you my love more precious than money,
I give you myself before preaching or law;
Willyou give me yourself? will you come travel with me?
Shall we stick by each other as long as we live?" --Walt
Whitman
This series is a set of loosely related stories set after the Immortal Beloved arc. Lighter in tone for the most part, including some shameless PWPs.
I, Alone
Not long after the end of the series, Duncan and Methos spend an afternoon in Duncan's storage space, conjuring up a bit of the past and enjoying their present. (Rated NC-17)
Just For Kinks
This is a piece I wrote as a birthday gift for my Cosmic Twin, Maria. It's an odd little thing and very much a PWP. Meldrick Lewis of Homicide: Life on the Streets makes a guest appearance. (Rated NC-17)
Some odds and ends-
Boy Scouts and the Men Who Love Them
For a little humor with Mac and Methos, and Jim and Blair, check out this little piece my twin and I wrote.
And by the way, Jim and Blair have finally moved to their permanent home. Drop by and visit them. There's lots of other fanfiction there too. Go to Legal Briefs.
Thanks for dropping by, come back often.
I love feedback, so be sure and e-mail me if you liked or hated these stories, or if there are any problems with this page. To go back to my home page, Huckleberry Cove, click on the Home button.
