"He was brought across in 1228,
preyed on humans for their blood.
Now he wants to be mortal again--
to repay society for his sins,
to emerge from his world of darkness,
from his endless
Forever Knight..."
Forever Knight details the life of 800-year-old vampire Nick Knight (Geraint Wyn Davies), who is currently living as a police detective in Toronto on the night shift (obviously). With the help of Dr. Natalie Lambert (Catherine Disher), Nick is searching for a way to regain his mortality much to the dismay of his creator LaCroix (Nigel Bennett) and fellow vampire Janette (Deborah Duchene).
History
A TV movie/unsold pilot entitled Nick Knight starring Rick Springfield aired on CBS in August of 1989. Later CBS began airing Forever Knight as a series in its Crime Time After Prime Time lineup. In 1993, Forever Knight was canceled after CBS signed a deal with David Letterman. Due to fan efforts it returned as a syndicated series in Fall 1994 on USA. On 22 December 1995, USA pulled their financial backing from the show without notice, forcing it to cancellation. TriStar refused to offer a fourth season for sale (despite a third-party buy-out attempt), but completed the third season at the urging of fans and local affiliates. The Sci-Fi Channel currently has exclusive syndication rights to air the repeats. The campaign to save Forever Knight still continues...
