Of course, the highlight was the program - a gripping, moving play about first-hand experience with an AIDS victim, followed (after an interlude for more drinking/eating/chatting) by a no-holds-barred comic performance that had the audience howling with laughter.  All in all, one of the best times I've experienced as a "theatre-goer."  Long may this select group find audiences wanting to get Close for Comfort!     -    Alice S., Leatherhead, Surrey

A spell-binding evening.  The plays were both entertaining and thought-provoking and were acted with accomplishment and flair.  It was wonderful the way they fitted so well with the normal domesticity of the house, with actors leaving the sitting room to go to the kitchen and wandering back again as if this was their usual environment.  Great fun.  I look forward to the next round of plays!  Or even to repeating the same experience next year with different friends.

The evening I hosted Janet and Glenn turned out to be a huge success.  Promptly at 8 the first play began.  It was serious and thought-provoking, well acted and professionally presented. The second play had us convulsed with laughter and the evening ended on a high note.  Everyone agreed it was a terrific event and all are planning to attend the next one, whenever it may be.  I will definitely host it again.

The plays that were performed were alternately heartbreaking and hilarious.....
