Evaluations
I am happy to offer evaluation services tailored to your family's needs, now including CriterionSM Service for writing practice in addition to your chosen package. For those with limited Internet band-width, email evaluations are still available, and the email evaluation package can be shared among siblings. If you need help before placing your order, or if you need a single evaluation, please see the Consultations page of this website.

Evaluation Packages
Option
One: For those completing any of the Great Books Tutorials or Rhetoric
Tutorials with Schola
Tutorials, Oxford Tutorials, Talisker Tutorials, or independently.. Please check your
tutor’s syllabus to determine the right size package to order!
Option Two: For those who wish to create their own evaluation plan based
on the package sizes below. Past packages have included Veritas
Omnibus, AP history courses, Seton writing curriculum, David Quine's World Views of the Western World curriculum, etc. I
welcome families using the Well Trained Mind, Gileskirk, Ambleside Online, and
other curriculum plans. And I am happy to offer a la carte evaluations of any work completed from my own workbooks

- CriterionSM Online Writing Evaluation
service is now included in regular evaluation packages. Click the link
to learn more.
- Download P.E.P. Talk FREE! P.E.P. Talk is an electronic "handbook"
inspired by my work with Wes Callihan's
students. It includes excerpts from successful and troubled essays alike,
with instructions on how to avoid common problems and produce the best
possible essays for the Great Books tutorials. Useful for any high school
or college student writing essays about great literature.
- RUSH evaluations are available, with 48-hour turnaround, at double
the usual word count charge. Please email me if you need a particular
paper rushed, to check on my availability.
- Revisions of papers are encouraged and may be incorporated into your
package(s) as needed.
Traditional Evaluation Packages offer full,
line-by-line evaluations with extensive end comments and suggestions for
improvement. Beginning in 2008-2009 submissions will be made online through the
CriterionSM Service, with enhancements I
hope you will enjoy. You may expect your
evaluation within three weeks of submitting an assignment, often much sooner. Letter
grades will be assigned to all papers unless otherwise requested
. Please see the FAQ for tips on modifying grades
for students at different levels. All work for a package must be submitted by
June 2009.

10,000 words in up to 12 submissions with CriterionSM
Service $300
- Evaluation Package, up to
4000 words in up to 6 submissions with CriterionSM
Service $175
- Email Evaluation Package, up
to 4000 words in up to 6 submissions
(may be shared by siblings)
$150
(This option may also be chosen by those who are already
enrolled in a CriterionSM Service package and just
want to add more words to their accounts.)
