Comments: Thank you for your excellent site. I have been hunting for more information on my gg-grandfather war service for awhile. We knew he had died of diease in Little Rock and my mother has a copy of his last letter home but I didn't know what company he was in or where he was buried. I found this site relly helpful and full of good information. Thanks again.

Comments: My wife is doing a study of Ft. Hebert of Virginia Point Galveston. She has used old ariel photographes to locate and GPS the location of the fort. Do you have any access to photos, descriptions or any info regarding the fort? anything would be of great help and would be happy to share her work.

Ancestor from this Regiment: Pvt. Noah Snider, Co. K 10th Texas Infantry
Comments: I would love to hear from Scott McKay as to how he received a letter written by my husbands great grandfather Noah Snider that is printed on this website. I have been researching him, since my mother in law gave me letters that he had written home during the Civil War. In one letter he mentions Pres. Lincoln and how he thought he was wanting peace. I find this all so interesting. My husband and I are planning on visiting the Georgia site where he was killed. Thank you for all the information that is out there for us. Helen Huckobey
