BIOGRAPHICAL SUMMARY:
Elizabeth "Eliza" Earl, the youngest and twelfth child of James and Elizabeth
(Soule) Earl, was born in 3 September 1807, in Galway, Saratoga Co., New
York. Her parents and some of her older siblings were born in Westport,
Bristol Co., Massachusetts. James Earl and his family settled in Pierrepont
Manor, Jefferson Co., NY.
Elizabeth Earl married Ebenezer Williams from North Adams.- from
R.A .Oakes Book , 1905.
Ebenezer was a carpenter. They most likely married before 1833 in Jefferson
Co., NY. They lived in Pierrepont Manor and had six children. One died in infancy.
Mrs. Elizabeth (Earl) Williams was a milliner and dressmaker. Her daughters
were also milliners and dressmakers. About 1866, Eliza (Earl) Williams moved
to Le Sueur, Le Sueur Co., Minnesota. Her daughters also moved to Minnesota.
Her son Earl Williams moved there too.
On the 14th of April 1867, she married Orr Tousley in Batavia, Rock County,
IL. They were both widowed.
Orr Tousley and his first wife Tizrah (Randall) lived in Ellisburg, Jefferson
Co., NY, then Ohio, and later moved to Le Sueur, Minnesota.
FAMILY HISTORY NOTES:
Daniel Bannatyne was in the Civil War: Troop M, 16th New York Calvary.
In Le Sueur he had a dry goods store called the New York Store.
David Imhoff was in the Civil War. He served for Minnesota.
