Wallyball Rules

Every game needs rules.  I say this even though I played the game for a while before I knew there were formal rules.  We just batted the ball around (jungle ball), had a lot of fun and got great exercise.

Then I learned of the rules.  We incorporated the rules in our play, began to develop our ball handling skills, and the game was magically transformed into a new sport.  Playing by the "real" rules of the game enhanced our enjoyment of the sport.

In conjunction with the Association of United Wallyball Players (AUWP) I have recently rewritten the official wallyball rulebook at the request of Joe Garcia (the inventor of the sport).  Joe challenged us to make the book easier to read.  I think we've done that, and while at it we attempted to clarify some of the issues I've seen raised during the time I've played the game.
