MORE BREAKING NEWS!!!! NEW ANNA'S
HOMEWATCH POSTED SEPTEMBER 26, 2005 DESCRIBING HER PROGRESS IN RECENT YEARS
Hi! My name is Anna. In addition to being extremely
cute, I'm also what they call a Preemie. I made an
early arrival at 26 weeks gestation on September
12, 1996. My original due date was supposed to be December 13, 1996.
Ooops! Until January 8, 1997, I spent my days hanging out at the Neonatal
Intensive Care Unit of Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington,
D.C. You see, by showing up early I only managed to weigh one pound, 5 ounces.
Apparently that's on the small side for a newborn. I had to grow
a whole bunch bigger before they let me go home. Check out
Anna's Grams to track how my weight increased
over time. My Mom and Dad, Kelsey and Craig, came to see me all the
time, which was pretty cool. If you've got a hankie handy, you might
want to read my Mom's account of how much she loves
me, which is followed by her Mom's (my Mimi's) response.
During my hospital stay, Mom and Dad sent out Annagrams to people to
let them know how I was doing. You can review my daily progress by

(Describes my Homecoming on January

Throughout my stay, Mom and Dad received lots of
words of support and encouragement
from family, friends, and other parents of preemies as far away
as Australia and the Neverlands (I remembered the spelling for the last place
from a story Dad read me about a pirate).
Now that I'm home, we keep people updated on my progress through periodic
editions of Anna's HomeWatch.

Baby--This site sell Preemie clothes tailored especially
for your tiny miracle.
In case you were wondering how I put together such a neat home page
at my young age, the answer is that back in 1996 I used an early web page maker put out by
AOL called AOLPress. We later updated it to a Microsoft FrontPage
platform.
Thanks again for dropping by!
