A Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution

"God, Home, and Country"

The Bryan Station Chapter was organized in 1897.  Our founding Regent was Mrs. Wallace Shelby, elected in February of that year.  The chapter was named after the fort at Bryan Station.  The legend is that the women of the fort gathered water at a nearby spring for the men inside while bands of Indians watched and waited to attack.

Our group includes one hundred plus members.  We are a chapter of warm, caring ladies who are of all ages.  We support DAR schools, American Indians, and Veterans with our funds and our time.  We encourage participation in Junior American Citizens and American History contests in our local schools and promote love of country and patriotism in the youth.  Chapter meetings are usually held on the first Wednesday of the month (except January, February, July, and August) at noon.  We enjoy a variety of programs which focus on history, preservation, women's issues, the American flag, and national defense.

We would love to have
you join our chapter!
