(For MSIE or AOL users)
When you click on any of my links here, you usually get a
window asking you what you want to do with the file. There are
two choices, Save To Disk and Open From Current Location. If you
want to save the file to your collection, just choose Save To
Disk and save it somewhere on your hard drive. If you want to
preview the file, choose Open From Current Location.
If, after choosing Open From Current Location, you get a
window asking you what program you want to open it with, just
follow these simple instructions. In order to have this work, you
must have the current version of Windows Media Player installed.
If you don't have it,click
here to get it.
First off, leave the box checked that shows "Always Use This Program To Open This File". This way you'll only have to follow these instructions once. Then click the "Other" button at the bottom. Using Windows Explorer, surf to the directory where you have installed the program for Windows Media Player. For most everyone, this should be C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\mplayer.exe. For some others, it may be C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\mplayer2.exe. Whichever it is, select it, and it will be added to your list of selectable programs. Then double-click the mplayer icon, and your KAR files will always open with Windows Media Player.
