2008 Monthly Project
"My Stitching Treasures"

Our 2008 "monthly project" will involve just one project -- the "My Stitching Treasures" sampler from Jeannette Douglas. We will meet on the 2nd Tuesday of each month (6:30 - 9:00) to stitch a section of the design (there will be "homework" of course). By the end of the year, you will have a beautiful sampler to display in a box lid or in a frame.
This sampler is stitched on a 32-count hand-dyed fabric. The design size is about 7 1/2 x 10. (If you don't intend to use the premade box, you can use 28-count fabric if you prefer). Experience stitching on linen is required. There are a variety of specialty stitches and several sections involving stitching "over-1" on the linen.
A thread pack containing silk threads is available. A charm pack containing lots of beautiful charms is also available.
We began this project on Jan 8, but you can "jump in" any time. Join us every month or just when you can. The cost of each monthly "class" will be $5.00. But this will be waived if you purchase the chart and materials from Cross Stitch Plus.
Please come in ahead of time for your supplies. You will need the chart, fabric and thread kit. You can wait until later to purchase the charm kit (or use you own charms). Be sure to bring your stitching tools -- including a magnifier if you need one.
