On the morning of Sunday March 18 2001 S6 and E4 recieved a call to respond to a report of an explosion in the 7200 block of Miller Upon arrival the crews found the Emmit Coatings (formerly Enamelcote) extensively damaged by an explosion. There was a strong smell of natural gas in the area with minimal fire from a ruptured gas line. Crews searched the building and determined it was unoccupied and evacuated as there was a high possibility of structural collapse. Utility crews were called and the situation brought under control
