The Registry for Better
Ideas
What is the REGISTRY FOR BETTER IDEAS? A part of the FOUNDATION FOR BETTER IDEAS, the REGISTRY FOR BETTER IDEAS (RBI) is a web-site that allows participants to vote on idea submissions, and to grant cash awards. This establishes a new level of incentive for constructive thinking, especially for systems-based and procedural ideas that may benefit society, but are not entitled to royalties under current law. As such, the RBI is an Americanized version of the British Global Idea Bank. The RBI differs from it in three ways:
How does the REGISTRY FOR BETTER IDEAS work? People who participate in the REGISTRY can function as submitters (people who contribute and/or help refine ideas), subscribers (people who enjoy reading, reacting to, and/or using new ideas), or solicitors (those who point creative minds to this system and/or encourage participation by larger groups; e.g., schools, companies, nonprofit organizations) How does the REGISTRY FOR BETTER IDEAS differ from the FOUNDATION FOR BETTER IDEAS? The FOUNDATION is the organization that provides the administrative framework for the REGISTRY FOR BETTER IDEAS. The REGISTRY is an interactive system on the internet dedicated to inventive questions, solutions, and researchable possibilities. Is there any cost involved? What happens to my fees? This is mostly a free exchange of ideas. There is a voluntary membership fee (minimum $30.00/year) for those who wish to create a mini-fund from which they can grant awards. 10% of the membership fee goes to support the Foundation's work.
