CHILDREN'S BOOK AUTHOR

Hi! I'm glad you stopped by for a visit!

I'm not here right now, so I left Jesse -- my little tabby cat -- in charge. Tacy (my dog) just fell asleep on the couch. If I can wake her up, she can show you around, too.

Jesse spends a lot of time at my computer. He especially loves chasing the cursor on the screen.

My book, "Legends of American Dance and Choreography," tells the stories of 10 great dancers and choreographers (choreographers are the people who create dances, just like an author creates books).

In my book, "Helen Keller: Lighting the Way for the Blind and Deaf," you can read about Helen, who was blind, deaf, and unable to talk from the time she was a baby. But with the help of a very special teacher, Helen learned how to talk with her fingers, and speak with her mouth. She also attended college, traveled around the world, wrote books, and even acted in movies!

Did you always want to be a writer?

What do you like to do when you're not writing?

What are you working on now?

I'd like you to visit my school and talk about writing. How can I get in touch with you?

Make sure you visit my student gallery

before you go! Whenever I visit a school,

I ask the students to send me something

they've drawn or written.

Click the boy or girl to see my collection.

Thanks for visiting me! I hope Jesse and Tacy were helpful. They're exhausted from their work and have already fallen asleep on the couch.
