The Cardigan Welsh Corgi Club of Southern California is active in breed rescue. Club members will investigate reports of Cardigans in animal shelters and take steps to adopt any apparent purebred Cardigan, then find a carefully screened permanent home for it. The club will also help private individuals find a new home for their Cardigans when circumstances make it impossible for them to keep the dog. Most rescued Cardigans spend some time in "foster care" with a club member who will assess the dog's behavior and habits before making it available for placement. While there are presently no Cardigans in need of rescue, we know that can sometimes change overnight. If you would like to be on the waiting list for a future rescue Cardigan, or if you know of one in need of a new home, please contact John & Maureen Tomlinson at: |
