MoneyCounts Upgrade 2000

MONEYCOUNTS 6.5 needs to be upgraded to operate in the year 2000 and beyond. Prouse & Berglund offer an upgrade package to do just that for version 6.5 (see the chart below for details). P&B also offer two other programs to assist you with your accounting - CASHFLOW and SYNC. The details are on this page. Upgrade 2000 will take your version of MoneyCounts and build you a version that will work in the year 2000 and beyond. You will then have a version of MoneyCounts with the same "look and feel" of your present MoneyCounts. Either e-mail CyberWise@bellsouth.net or call (772)770-2462 (9am to 9pm ET) if you have any questions or a different version of MoneyCounts 6.

Which version do you have? To determine which version you have, start and quit MoneyCounts at the question "Exit Program? where you answer "Y". MoneyCounts will display the version on the top line of the screen. Click here if you would like to see an example of this screen. If you are running MoneyCounts in a window, this information will blink on the screen very briefly as the window is closing.

Another means to determine which version you have is to use a file manager or file explorer to view the size and date of your MoneyCounts program and its accompanying overlay. These are the specs for the various versions:

The price of this upgrade is just $24 plus $1 shipping (or plus $5 for priority mail within the US). Specify disk size and density. In other words, 5¼" (LD), 5¼" DD, 5¼" HD, 3½" DD, or 3½" HD. To expedite the shipping, we will also ship Upgrade 2000 as an attachment to an e-mail message for no additional charge. In other words, we will always send you the disk and documentation, but for rush orders we will also send the upgrade by e-mail.

Personal checks in Canadian dollars at the prevailing currency conversion rate will also be accepted. (Checks drawn on Canadian banks and written in US funds will also be accepted.)

CASHFLOW: Prouse & Berglund also offer a Cashflow Report Generator to print or display a cashflow statement from your MONEYCOUNTS database. This report is a very useful addition to the Balance Sheet and Income Statement produced by MONEYCOUNTS. A cashflow statement provides yet another perspective on where your money is being invested, saved, or spent. SYNC: Yet another handy program is a program to assist you to ensure that your beginning-of-the-year account balance is the same as your previous year's end-of-year account balance. This program is called SYNC because it helps you "syncronize" your account balances between years. Orders Upgrade 2000 and, at the same time, order SYNC for only $5 with no charge for shipping. Thereafter the Cashflow Report Generator is $7 plus $1 shipping.

Needless to say, this upgrade only upgrades MONEYCOUNTS and will not solve any other year 2000 problem your hardware or software may have.
