Games We Play on

UNder construction here . . . e idea of the game is to guess the host's object in as few questions as possible. You can get more information on the two simple rules and the strategy involved in Twenty Questions
here.
The other game we play is called "Uncommon Sense," which has eight categories. Only three of the categories have been played on #FRiendliest at all so far. These games, hosted by annette, are as follows:
Common Quips
In this category, annette writes a common maxim but using words different from those normally used to express the idea. The point of the game is to translate the maxim into its common terms.
For instance "exigency creates avarice" would translate as "need makes greed." Or "the
squealing caster obtains the lubrication" would translate into "the squeaky wheel gets the grease."
In this game, getting close to the actual maxim is okay. We prefer you write out the entire maxim :( as annette has known to be strict :) in her interpretation of the winner; however, some exceptions are made for the uncooperative. The winner will be declared by annette using her sole discretion.
Rhyme Time
In this game annette gives a two-word clue the answer to which is a pair of words that rhyme, and she will specify the number of syllables in each word. For example, two one-syllable words meaing "unhappy boy" would be "sad lad." Or one four-syllable words and two two-syllable words meaning "Big Apple booze cabinet" would be "Knickerbocker liquor locker."
In this game, a specific answer is being sought, but if an alternate answer is given which (1) uses the correct number of syllables, (2) rhymes, and (3) means exactly the same thing as the specifically sought answer, it will be accepted. Again, we request that you type the answers out in full. annette will use her sole discretion in accepting alternate answers.
Anything Goes
As the name implies, almost any kind of word question can be asked in this category. In this category a specific answer is being sought, but alternate answers may be accepted by annette in her sole discretion. Here are some sample questions:

Or take the "T" out of a word for a "water vehicle" to form a word for a "type of snake." The answer would be "boat" and "boa". Please type out both words.
- What are two homophones (words that sound alike but differ in meaning and spelling) that mean "ring" and "pare." The answer would be "peal" and "peel."
