~Elements~
The elements are are the sources of borrowed energy. There are five elements, four are common: Earth, Air, Fire, and Water. The fifth is Ka(Spirit), others call it Ether and Akasha. The elements provide energy to the Witch and specific elements are more appropriate to specific forms of magic.Each Witch will discover, in the course of their training, a specific element that they identify with more closely and can utilize more effectively.This is the element that the Witch will find that they will specialize in these forms of magic.

EARTH Earth is the element of the Goddess, the Mother. It is the fertile andnurturing as farmland; as moist as soil and as dry as sand. In it's physicalrepresentation as stone, it is the densest of elements.
BASIC NATURE: Fertile, moist, nurturing, stabilizing, grounding, andgravity.
TYPE OF ENERGY: Receptive.
COLOR: Green
PLACES: Caves, canyons, chasms, forests, groves,valleys,fields, farms,gardens, arboretums, parks, plant nurseries, farmers markets, kitchens,baby nurseries, basements, mines, and holes.
RITUALS: Money, prosperity, fertility, stability, grounding, employment.
RITUAL FORMS: Burning, planting, making images in the soil or sand.HERBS: Patchouly, vetivert, mosses, lichens, nuts, dry and stiff plants,low growing plants, and root vegetables.
STONES: Heavy an opaque, as in coal; Green as in emerald or peridot
METALS: Lead and Iron
MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS: Drums and percussion instruments.
 DIRECTION: North.
TOOL: Salt.  
NATURAL SYMBOLS: Salt, clay, fresh soil, rocks, wheat, acorns.
TYPES OF MAGIC:Gardening, magnet, image, tree, stone, knot, binding.
 AIR: Air is the element of movement, intelligence, invisibility, and it isvital to human survival.
BASIC NATURE: Flying, movement, freshness, intelligence, suspending,and sound.
TYPE OF ENERGY: Projectile.
COLOR: Yellow.
PLACES: Mountaintops, wind swept plains, cloudy skies, high towers,airports, schools, libraries, offices, travel.
RITUALS: Travel, instruction, study, freedom, knowledge, recoveringlost items.
RITUAL FORMS: Tossing objects into the air, suspending tools in highplaces, fanning, visualization, positive thinking.
HERBS: Fragrant, as with flowers and pungent herbs.
STONES: Light stones, such as pumice, and transparent stones such asmica.
METALS: Tin and Copper.
MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS: Flute and all wind instruments.
 DIRECTION: East.
 TOOL: Incense.
NATURAL SYMBOLS: A feather, incense and smoke, fragrant flowers.
TYPES OF MAGIC: Divination, concentration, visualizations, wind magic.
  FIRE Fire is the creator and the destroyer. It is the element of change. It warms our homes, cooks our food, and fuels our passions Fire exists at the expense of other elements, those which it consumes.
BASIC NATURE: Purifying, destructive, cleansing, energetic, sexual,forceful, heat.
TYPE OF ENERGY: Projective.
COLOR: Red.
PLACES: Dessert, hot springs, volcanoes, ovens, fireplaces, bedrooms,
RITUALS: Protection, courage, sex, energy, strength, authority, banishingnegativity.
RITUAL FORMS: Burning or smoldering, heating.
HERBS: Stinging, thorny, and hot.
STONES: Red or fiery, as in Jasper; volcanic, as with lava, clear aswith quartz crystal.
METALS: Gold and Brass.
MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS: Guitar and all stringed instruments.
DIRECTION: South.
TOOL: Knife.
NATURAL SYMBOLS: Flame, lava, a heated object.
TYPES OF MAGIC: Candle, storm, time, sex and star.
 WATER Water is the element of love, cleansing, healing, and psychic forces.It is the element that washes over us, supports us, and gives us life.
BASIC NATURE: Flowing, purifying, healing, soothing, loving.
TYPE OF ENERGY: Receptive.
COLOR: Blue
PLACES: Lakes, springs, streams, rivers, beaches, oceans, wells, swimmingpools, bath tubs, showers, sleeping chambers, health spas, steam rooms,fountains.
RITUALS: Purification, love, psychic awareness, dreams, sleep, peace,marriage, friendships.
RITUAL FORMS: Dilution, placing into water, washing away, bathing.
HERBS: Aquatic, such as water lilies; Fleshy, such as succulents andlettuce; loving as a rose.
STONES: Transparent and translucent as with amethyst and aquamarine,and blue stones.
METALS: Silver, Quicksilver, copper.
MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS: Cymbal, bells, resonant metals.
DIRECTION: West.

NATURAL SYMBOLS: Shells, a cup of water.
TYPES OF MAGIC: Sea, ice, snow, fog, mirror, magnet.
 KA (SPIRIT) Ka is the element from which all elements arise, the immutable, changelesssource of all energy. This is the realm of potentiality: of promise, pathsnot yet taken, the outer realms. This is the energy that is the spark oflife, and forms the soul. It is the energy that Personal power is derivedfrom. It is the divinity within each of us.
