How I got into Darkon: A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away...

Let’s see, in 1987ish I was at Blackthorn & Esperonce’s parent’s house drinking beer and playing “Dark Tower” with Blackthorn, Esperonce, Keldar, & Wolfgang while Kurrogaine geeked reading Marvel Superheros game rules. We all had played Dagorheir unofficially for several months & Keldar began to tell Esperonce & myself about this, “New cool game that was like Dagorheir but much more organized and involved.” It was suggested that Esperonce & I come out, so we complied. Keldar then told us that we had to have a country & Mordom had beeen thought up in a brainstorm previously (but that is Keldar’s story to tell) we, then began talking about a banner & colored etc. There was a flag in “Dark Tower” that was a black dragon on a red flag (the Dark Tower’s flag) and we all agreed that the color scheme was cool. There was a country already with a dragon (Ramen) and so we did not want that BUT the gryphon sure looked cool (gold gryphon on blue background in the Dark Tower game, representing Brynthia) So, being the only one with any artistic ability I said I would paint the banner. So I sat at a table with a Lowenbrau botte in from of me for inspiration & created what is now the most well known & feared symbol in Darkon ;) .

My first battle was at Patapsco State Park, I believe & at that time Darkon consisted of about 30 people. I was asked for my Battlename (huh, wuzzat?) & without thinking spat out Gucca DaLucca. Within two weeks or so I had made my trademark tie-dyed costume & created a greatsword (ahhh the days of liberating flag poles from golf courses…)

So that is the gist… I could probably geeze for hours on this.
