Notes:

Smith, Joseph Henry  - In the 1870s, the Confederate soldiers buried in the Nashville city cemetery were moved to Confederate Memorial Circle at Mount Olivet Cemetery.  His grave there is marked.  Joseph H. Smith, born Feb. 1, 1832,  was son of William Smith and Sabra Nail of Franklin County, Ga.,    His wife was Barbara Ann Winders Smith.  He had two children: James J.D. Smith and Sabra Mary Ann Smith.  His widow later married to Thomas Richardson Guinn.  For more information on this soldier and his descendants, contact Darrell Ertzberger.

Stephenson, Isaiah J. - The pension application of his widow, Caroline Adelia (Adams) Burriss Stephenson, in the Georgia State Archives, indicates that he was NOT captured at Baker's Creek, Miss., but killed in action there on May 12, 1863.  For more information on this soldier and his descendants, contact Chuck Ritchey, his g-g-g grandson.

Thomas, James - Born about 1832, son of Jesse Thomas, Jr. and Rhoda Jackson of Franklin County, Ga.. His wife was Sarah Ann Clark Thomas.  They had eight children.  His brother Ezekiel was also in this company. For more information on this soldier and his descendants, contact Darrell Ertzberger.
