PORTUGAL HOLIDAY

It was a longer holiday than we have had in Portugal for a few years did us both a lot of good. The highlights included;-
· Good food and facilities at the Dom Pedro Hotel where we were staying for 4 nights. Enjoyed the meals, always tasted better the first night but continued to impress.
· Went a short walks and swam on Praia da Faliesa beach enjoying the warm water and hot sun on our bodies
· Wrote cards and letters, more than we had done for along time allowing us to catch up with family and friends.
· Went to the International Church at Vale Judeu. First went about 15 years ago when meetings were in a tent. There was a congregation of about 70 and Peter the pastor is in the process of handing over to a new minister who preached
· Relaxing and reading and writing in the apartment, by the pool, and on the sun beds opposite the golf course,
· When the weather wasn't so good we did we went 'lobby hopping' round one or two hotels including ;-
-- 5 star Hilton International impressive.
-- 5 star Lake Side resort very impressive.
-- local hotels listening to evenings music
· Sent some emails to the computer group and a few other friends hope they got through.
· Visited some of our coffee shops overlooking places of interest at Silves , Vilamoura , Quarteira ,Olhos de Agua , Porches and Olhao
