Dan Bowden is a guitarist and music educator who resides in Brookline, Mass. with his wife and two children. Hailing from Flint, Mi., Dan relocated to the Boston area in 1978 to attend Berklee College of Music. Graduating from Berklee in 1980, he joined the Berklee guitar faculty in 1989 and teaches blues, jazz and rock styles with an emphasis on student transcription. Dan is now an Associate Professor at Berklee and has performed before jazz, blues, R&B, rock and reggae audiences throughout New England and Canada. Dan began transcribing for Mel Bay Publications in 1993 and typesets with Finale for Macintosh.
