WHAT ARE WE? 

A service agency helping churches and missionaries fulfill the 
command to go "...and teach [make disciples of] all nations, baptizing 
them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded 
you..." (Mat. 28:19-20) 

We understand this to mean planting churches. We also believe this is 
the responsibility of the local church. Therefore, we do not send 
missionaries, but help churches to do so. 

The local church has the spiritual responsibility to Select, Support, and 
Send God's servants to the mission field. "We send our best" must be 
the byword for every church 
( Acts 11:22; 13:1-5). 

WHY ARE WE? 

We exist: 
- To promote missions and evangelism in Baptist Churches which hold to the Doctrines of Grace 
- To provide help and advice to local Baptist churches sending missionaries directly to the field. 
- To advise missionaries who wish to be sent by local churches. 
- To research and prepare materials to help churches and missionaries in such areas as Biblical
evangelism; short term missions; and the role of the local church in missions. 
- To advise and assist those preparing for ministry through on-line study, publications, seminars, and
consultation. 

WHAT DO WE BELIEVE? 

- The plenary, verbal inspiration, infallibility, inerrancy 
and authority of the Bible, which is the Word of God. 
- The miraculous conception and virgin birth of the Lord 
Jesus Christ, His deity, pre-existence and eternality; His vicarious, 
substitutionary atoning death for His elect, and His bodily 
resurrection. 
- Salvation by grace alone through faith alone in Christ 
alone; the absolute necessity of the New Birth; repentance and faith 
evidencing the new life; justification by faith alone without works; 
sanctification; positional, progressive, and complete; the perseverance 
and preservation of the saints; the eternal purpose of God in 
election; and the freeness of salvation. 
- The Biblical command to separate entirely from worldly 
and sinful pleasures, practices, and associations; from all forms of 
religious and ecclesiastical apostasy; from charismatics, neo- 
evangelicals, and all who compromise with them. 
- The resurrection; the personal, premillennial, 
pretribulational return of Christ for the church; His revelation with the 
church at the end of the Great Tribulation; and His Thousand Year 
Reign on the earth.

meetings. 

- Encouraging individuals to become missionaries and 
churches to send and support missionaries and evangelize at home.

HISTORY- 

The Grace Baptist Missions Agency, International was created by a council of 
Baptist churches in May of 1989. It is governed by the Grace Baptist 
Missions Association International. The association meets in 
August of each year to review the activities of the agency and to elect 
Directors from the male messengers designated by the churches to 
participate in the annual meeting. 
Two conditions were foremost in the reasoning which led to the 
formation of GBMA. Although not universal in all established mission 
agencies, they were prevalent enough to alarm the churches and their 
messengers. (1) Bias against doctrines of grace by many mission 
agencies. (2) Violation of local church autonomy. 
GBMA is supported financially by the churches in the 
association. The executive director and representatives are not 
salaried. Funds are used primarily for publications and office 
expenses.
