Coming soon... YOU. In an effort to include the Book of Shadows, it has been decided that the most qualified voices about the Book of Shadows are the very
people that visit the Complete Blair Witch Project. GET INVOLVED... the Complete Blair Witch Project Website would like to begin a fan review section for the Book of Shadows and are looking for those who are able to make intelligent comparisons, interesting story tie-ins with the original Blair Witch Project, etc. in either the positive and negative light of its controversy. If you have the ability to write a section on the Book of Shadows, we want to hear from you. The best articles will be selected by November 30th, and permanently housed in the Book of Shadows section with full credit to the respective authors. Please send all material to (click here) and we'll take care of the rest. |

Let the controversies begin... The Book of Shadows has not opened to the delight of everyone. Not unlike the original Blair Witch Project, the sequel now caters to those who either love it, or hate it. However, the complaints this time aren't "shakey cameras," or "where are the spooks," but rather "it doesn't fit with the Blair Witch Project. It's not supposed to fit. In example, read Harry
Knowles review and you'll understand why. Watch the Book of Shadows for what it is, then you can appreciate it. The Book of Shadows isn't so much a sequel to BWP, but rather a continuation in a different perspective. Voice your opinion at our Message Board. We want your opinions. |

WELCOME
BACK! It's been one year, and the time for Blair Witch 2 - the Book
of Shadows to premiere on the 27th of October. Plenty of news happening
in the last year. So much so, it's difficult to know where to begin.
No doubt many an argument has occured as to whether or not a "sequel"
to the BWP would or could work. What we DO know is that Book of Shadows
should not be considered a sequel. BOS should not be compared to
the first film... nor should it be included in sentences with the first
film. It is that much a different film. This friday you will learn
this. Read Harry
Knowles review for further details. |

YES,
same date, but we want to emphasis
that we're back. After a year of interaction, it was decided to bring
on Stickman's Forum
as our Official Message Board. Stickman's Forum was founded at the
same time of TCBWP and most often shared the same visitors, so it was only
natural that the two websites should link up. Stickman's Forum is
the original discussion forum for the BWP and has sustained itself throughout
the year (including the "quiet" months). So make point to drop by
and make yourself known. Everyone from the Blair Witch Fan to producers
Dan Myrick & Ed Sanchez to original cast members Heather Donahue, Joshua
Leonard and Michael Williams have posted at Stickman's Forum. |

What, STILL the same date? But of course. In that there is
a wealth of detail to add with the year having ticked by, we are indeed
intending on adding as much information about the Blair Witch Book of Shadows,
and of the entire trilogy, but this is a rather large task as you may well
be aware, so we ask for your patience. Feel free to ask questions
or make comments & suggestions at the message
board. |

Yea
yea, we know - same date, but hey... BWP 3! The release date
is still unknown; that will depend upon when filming starts on this film.
Originally announced for a release in the summer of 2001, and then in a
June USA Today article as Fall, 2001, it appears that either date is unlikely
as the directors will be busy with two other films in 2001: Heart of Love
and Salvage. Title Note: This movie may not be called Blair Witch
3, because as a "prequel", it's not really the "third story", even though
it's the third to be released. If they do drop the 3, I'd expect it to
be something like Blair Witch: The Beginning, or maybe just The Blair Witch.
Artisan Entertainment will be the distributor and it is produced by Haxan
Entertainment. No casts have been announced as of yet, however it
is indeed written and controlled once again by Daniel Myrick & Eduardo
Sanchez. The premise will address the legend(s) behind the series,
such as the original Blair witch, and (possibly) the 1940's serial killer
of children mentioned in the first film. (Note: What's unclear is whether
this prequel will deal with both legends, or just the original 17th century
witch). There's been no word as to when this prequel will be filmed,
but it will be after Haxan finishes Heart of Love. (9/23/00) Variety reported
last week (9/13/00) that Myrick will be moving on to a project called Salvage
after Heart of Love, which seems to push this film back even farther. |
