Xin Da Du Hotel

Excellent accommodations.

Day 3

The Ming Tombs

Underground area is musty and crowded.

The Great Wall It's harder to climb than it looks, but well worth the effort.
Cloisonne Factory We see only the second through fifth steps of the process.

Day 4

Tiananmen Square

Great place to buy a kite and people-watch.

Forbidden City It helped to look at a map during the tour. Awesome!
Summer Palace Marble boat, lake, and outdoor corridor are incredible.
Acrobat Show Amazing feats of strength and flexibility.

Day 5

Changsha

Xiang Jiang Hotel

Primarily caters to business people. Babies arrived shortly after we did. MeiLi is beautiful!

Day 6

At hotel

Notary paperwork to finalize adoption.

Local shopping Walked to local department store to buy rice congee.

Day 7

Hunan Provincial Museum

Visited "2,000 year old fresh corpse" and hundreds of artifacts from her tomb.

Martyrs' Park Walked around the largest park in Changsha.

Day 8

Embroidery Factory

Intricate two-sided embroidery on silk cloth. Amazing!

Day 9

Middle School Tour

Spoke to a class of 200 students studying English.

University of Hunan Interesting campus in a peaceful setting.

Day 10

Guangzhou

China Hotel

Beautiful, modern hotel with mini-mall and Hard Rock Cafe. McDonalds is next door.

Day 11

Visit the White Swan Hotel

Visa photos and medical exam for babies. Travel group photos.

Six Banyan Tree Buddhist Temple Baby blessing ceremony.

Day 12

American Consulate

Exit visa interview.

Day 13

Local shopping Tour of jade processing facilities.

Panxi Restaurant

Dim sum lunch.

Day 14

Guangzhou - Hong Kong - Seoul - Los Angeles - Phoenix
