Let me begin by saying how much I enjoyed my years on Dark Shadows. All of the actors were terrific to work with and extremely talented. The crew members were friendly and kind to us. I always thought Dan Curtis was the Best! - in addition to being very handsome
Working with David Hennesy was the most fun for me. David and I were about the same age which was a real treat for me since I had worked mostly with adults. David & I became good friends.
We opened a restaurant on the set and sold lunch to the cast and crew. The cast & crew humored us by buying the blue plate special.
Another memory I have is David & I sneaking into Joan Bennett's dressing room to smoke. We used her dressing room because Joan wore massive amounts of Jungle Gardena perfume which masked odors up to six blocks...hence we got away with it! David was a practical joker and I was a perfect victim. One day I was looking for him and out he popped out from around the corner with a werewolf mask on it scared me to death and I screamed. We wondered why they put up with us, but as Jonathan Frid say's we keep things from getting boring!
I think that my favorite time working on Dark Shadows was when David & I discovered Quentin. David Selby was nice to work with. "Quentins Theme" was very popular on the radio and is still a favorite of mine to this day.
As I search my memory bank I will add to this site.
