Alan *Thanks* those who are helping bring about the renewal
of this Spirit through the music of Desert Wind.

Before Andalin, Desert Wind performed for special events featuring Dr. Wayne Dyer and Dr. Deepok Chopra and participated in the Spiritual Jewish Renewal Kallah Retreats. Whenever Desert Wind has the opportunity to join with these Masters in the future, they will be there!

On Sept 15-16 1997, Desert Wind first traveled to the Portland, Oregon Living Enrichment Center. There they were honored to play for the conference of the "Society for the Universal Human."

Barbara Marx Hubbard and many others were present.
The famous teacher, author, and advisor, Jean Houston said: "Your music is truly a once in ancient future experience. I have purchased all of your cds and tapes,and I will use them in my seminars."

Joan Borysenko, a fabulous presenter and famous author, also purchased all of Desert Wind's material. Gary Zukav, loved the music and sent Desert Wind an autographed book.

Desert Wind found Rev. Mary Manin Morrissey to be an incredible force of light, and the group now appears often for Special Events at the The Living Enrichment Center.

On January 30, 1998, Desert Wind played at the
Utah State Capitol Rotunda. The whole band was there,
accompanied by a number of other performers as they joined in the world-wide peace meditation.

On Sunday, March 22, Desert Wind was completely at home while performing for the wonderful people at the
Santa Rosa Church of Religious Science.

Desert Wind performed Saturday, May 2nd
at the Salt Lake Jewish Community Center at Fort Douglas. This was a COMMUNITY-WIDE event celebration of Israel's 50th Anniversary of Independence.

On December 13, Desert Wind performed in Arizona at Unity of Phoenix, followed by a performance at the Ruach Hamidbar (Spirit of the Desert) Congregation's Chanukah Celebration.

Several return visits to Ruach Hamidbar, Santa Rosa and Huntington Beach Church of Religious Science and The Living Enrichment Center followed in 1999, with a new surge of activity in 2000. Among the year highlights are the following:

Desert Wind provided the music for a very special evening with Dr. Rocco Errico hosted by Salt Lake's Church of Religious Science

Alan , Andalin, Jerri, and Terence CELEBRATED the Jewish New Year
with Ruach Hamidbar Spirit of the Desert  in beautiful Scottsdale, Arizona for Rosh Hashanah ~September 29 - October 1~ and again for Yom Kippur ~October 8 - 9~

Then on Sunday morning, October 16th, Desert Wind joined in a CELEBRATION OF LIFE at the Pacific Church of Religious Science
in San Diego, Rev. Kathy Hearn

Desert Wind (Winner of 2 Gamel Awards) is pleased to have opened for the FIRST EVER International Academy Awards of Middle Eastern Dance. (~Now an acclaimed annual event held in Los Angeles, California)

In 2000 Desert Wind opened for the FIRST EVER Rakassah ~ East!
with 3 Shows in Somerset, New Jersey!  ~October 20 - 22, Year 2000~ And the list goes on and on. . .

Desert Wind thanks the Belly Dance Community, from the Bedouin Bazaar in San Diego to the Kali Ma fans in Germany, for honoring Desert Wind music with the magic of dance.
