Dave Hawley's AOL Home Page
On the net since 1985, on the web since 1995! Where I workI work at a "gigabit ethernet" startup company, Extreme Networks. We are now two years old - it's been an exciting ride! My last few years in my previous job at National Semiconductor, I was working unsuccessfully to make isoEthernet a success by developing system-level products. You can view my isoEthernet page to learn more about the technology. It has references on the standard and applications, such as computer telephony and desktop videoconferencing, as well as general pointers for ISDN and Ethernet. I have been unable to keep this site current. I also have on-line my account of our White House demo back in 1994 when we were just getting started with FPGA versions of the card... If you're interested in more details of my work history, I've included an out-of-date resume, but I'm not in the market. Where I went to schoolYou can check out the Caltech site, but if you want to meet the people I know, try the alumni list. Other interestsStickler's SyndromeI've created a substantial reference guide to Stickler's Syndrome. See my Stickler's Syndrome page to find out more.
