To: Former DirtNews Digest readers and subscribers
Dear readers:
I want to thank all DND's former readers and subscribers for their kindness and appreciation during my 30-month publishing period. Fans at the track still tell me they miss DND, and I always tell them that I miss it even more.
While it appears that DND will never exist in its former creation, I'm still working in dirt racing. I started a full-time job at National Dirt Digest in August 1998, and I hope to have a long tenure as an editor, writer and photographer there. It's the perfect job.
While my work is now published conventionally, we hope to develop the National Dirt Digest web site during the winter and make it a valuable tool to compliment the bi-weekly newspaper with photographs, news and reference information for dirt Late Model fans. I hope some of the former DND regulars can get somewhat of a racing "fix" on the web with the National Dirt Digest site in 1999.
Also, in addition to thanking subscribers, I want thank the promoters, writers, free-lancers, photographers, contributors, fans, drivers and others who made DND fly. DND would have been nothing without them.
Sincerely,
Todd Turner, former DND editor
