Participants will have the opportunity to learn from a panel of renown underwater imagemakers, while competing for great prizes in THE UNDERWATER PHOTO SHOOTOUT OF THE NEW MILLENNIUM!

This is about as exotic as you can get. The mere mention of Borneo conjures images of pristine rainforests and undisturbed reefs. Our final destinations, the islets of Sipadan and Mabul , lie just off the coast of this forgotten paradise.

Sipadan, a designated bird sanctuary is home to the huge coconut crab. Island naturalists make daily releases of baby turtles and guests have a rare opportunity to photograph the hatchlings as they scuttle down the beach.

All meals are scrumptious and special dietary requests are honored whenever possible.

Okay, so there is great stuff to see. Don't you want to bring back beautiful pictures to show around to friends and family? Sea and Sea representatives will be on-hand with a wide range of great equipment that they will be lending out -- FREE OF CHARGE. This is your chance to try out your underwater photography video or photography skills with the camera of your dreams!

A team of underwater photo/video experts will be available teach and, of course, have fun with the participants. Stan Waterman, Al Hornsby, Tom Cambell, Burt Jones, Maurine Shimlock, Doug Perrine as well as yours truly Jay Ireland and Georgienne Bradley will give nightly seminars and be on hand every day for one-on-one instruction.

The week's efforts culminate when the judges mark their ballots! Winners of the contest -- and their are many -- will be awarded with a wide selection of coveted prizes. The lucky individuals will be announced during the final night banquet in Kota Kinabalu.

We will be on hand for three extra days (four nights) at the Borneo Divers, Dive Lodge before the event starts.
