Welcome to the NW Region Home Page -- the first Home Page ever created for USPA Members of one Region. This Web Site will provide current, up-to date information on USPA happenings and news; links to all skydiving-related Web Sites in the NW; lists and contact numbers for Drop Zones, Gear Dealers and Safety & Training Advisors in the Region; a library of Regional Newsletters; and a calendar of boogies, events and instructional courses scheduled for the year. The purpose of this site is to promote communication among skydivers, and between skydivers and USPA Officials. You are invited to participate in that communication.
About the Northwest Region -- There are currently about 1,800 USPA members in the 5-State NW Region. These skydivers jump at 26 different Drop Zones, and are supported by service from 38 Safety & Training Advisors appointed by the Regional Director. There are also 8 Skydiving Clubs, and 4 skydiving equipment businesses.
News
As I announced in the last Newsletter, the USPA Board of Directors will conduct their Summer '98 BOD Meeting in Portland, OR. Dates are now set for July 8 - 12 at the Sheraton Portland Airport Hotel. If you're trying to schedule a Boogie or a meet for next summer, please try not to schedule it for that weekend, so interested members (and Regional Directors) can attend the meeting.
