Reverse: Inside: ![[Peerless Reproducer (inside)]](tpeeri.gif) Peerless Reproducer (1927?) This is a cathedral-shaped speaker. It sits on four little feet and has a grille on both the front and back. The back panel has a layer of dampening material on the inside about an inch thick. The third picture above is a view with the back removed. This is a balanced-armature type loud speaker. A magnet and coils move the armature, which drives a pin, which moves a lever, which moves a rod, which is attached to the apex of the paper cone. The cone surround is soft leather. The reproducer was made by the United Radio Corporation, and "Series No. A 19625" is printed on the cone. |
