Jacob PILLOTTE
Jacob Pillotte, although not mentioned by Burroughs, was certainly an early settler of Petite Canada. Land records state he purchased land by 1850.
Jacob or Jacques was born 1813 at L'Acadie de St. Jean, Quebec was married to Perpetue-Hester PROULX in 1836 at St. Valentine, Canada. She was born about 1816. Their children:
1) Isaac b 1836 married Marie-Philomen Many
daughter of Charles Many
2) Julie b 1837 married Pierre Brosseau son of Antoine Brosseau & Louise-Marie Moreau
3) Jean-Baptiste b 1840 married Virginia GIROUX daughter of Theotine GIROUX
4) Calice b 1842 married Ezilda DUCHARME
5) Jacob b about 1845 and died 1868
6) Adaline b about 1847
7) Josephine b 1849 in Bourbonnais
8) Lucien b about 1852 in IL married Louise SAVOIE abt 1867
9) Ellen b about 1855 in IL
10) Pierre b about 1857 married Cecile LAURENT in 1877 in Bourbonnais
11) Eusebe-Isael b Jun 1861 d Aug 1861
