Statement of
Faith
The Bible |
-
The Bible, as
it was originally written, is the complete, inspired, inerrant,
and infallible Word of God. As such, it is our ultimate authority in all
matters of
doctrine and practice.
God |
-
There is one
God, infinitely perfect, consisting of three persons: God the Father,
God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ |
-
Essential to
the orthodox Christian faith are the virgin birth, incarnation,
bodily resurrection, and ascension of Jesus Christ.
Salvation |
-
Jesus' sinless
life and substitutionary death on the cross provide the
only means for the justification and salvation of man. Salvation is
available
soley by the grace of God, through faith alone in Christ
alone.
Work of the Holy Spirit |
-
The ongoing
ministry of the Holy Spirit, who indwells all believers, is
to
regenerate, sanctify, guide, and instruct the believer.
Future Events |
-
There will be
a visible second coming of Jesus Christ, followed by the
resurrection of the living and the dead; with the believer to eternal life,
and the unbeliever, and Satan and his minions to everlasting punishment.
The Church |
-
The Church universal is the Body and Bride of Christ, which
comprises all
persons who, through saving faith in Jesus Christ, have been regenerated
by the
Holy Spirit.
