Well......froSTed used to be Jane Wiedlin's band. The line-up used to be:
Jane Wiedlin : lead vocals, guitar
Brian Waters: lead guitar, vocals
Lance Porter : drums, vocals
Sean E : bass, vocals
Things were amazing. They had great pop/punk songs....the songs made it to an album called "Cold" on Geffen....they played, they toured, they rocked, I loved.
THEN the news was SeanE had left the band. His replacement: Chuck Bernal. He was good....but things just weren't the same. Although I missed SeanE, I still had those late night froSTed cravings. They were great live, and I couldn't wait to see them again. (That Brian Waters....such a ham! I think I went to shows just to see who he'd kick next).
But the tragic saga continued. Geffen dropped froSTed. The album didn't sell as well as they had hoped, and, well...Geffen's a bunch of dicks. So the band didn't get the promotion or label help they needed. This all set Jane off on a label hunt. Roadrunner was a froSTed hopeful, but that fell through...and the quest for the label continued.
All that went on for a while until I got the heart breaking news that Lance was leaving the band. Now, SeanE I could cope with, but not Lance! Replacement: some dude named Eric, I think.
It all happened so quickly after that. FroSTed booked a bunch of shows in the LA / OC areas for March through May '98, but they got through only half the shows on their list. On 4/18/98, Jane announced that froSTed was no longer.

Dear Flakes,
Sadly, Frosted has disbanded. I'm sorry to break the news so suddenly, but Eric basically quit the band yesterday and so we've had to cancel the upcoming shows. I had been very disheartened about Frosted lately anyway, it seems like we weren't getting anywhere...No record company interest, the same (loyal & wonderful) few people at every show, too much chaos with members being late, equipment always fucking up & too many personnel changes. My heart is no longer in it.
I feel badly about this, like it's the death of a loved one. I'm sorry for those of you that didn't get a chance to come to a show, and I thank everyone with all my heart for your wonderful support these last three years. I hope you will continue to support me in Twisted & Jaded, and whatever other projects I take on
in the future.
Loads of love,
JANE
So there you have it. RIP froSTed. Hope this didn't happen because the band was on the Cherry Bombs list. Judging the past few months, with all the break-ups, I should probably delete the entire Cherry Bombs site. It's bringing bad luck to all the bands!
Jane lovers.....you'll dig the Twisted & Jaded thing. I loved it. Check that out when it rolls around.
Hold up!! This just in by Sugar Fix Records!!! There are a bunch of froSTed 7 inches available at Sugar Fix online. The "Bed" 7-inch (featuring "Bed" and "Call Me Crazy") on the Sugar Fix label is now going for only $3! Go get it kids! It's in beautiful baby blue vinyl. YUM.
note: If and when Twisted & Jaded does roll around, I'll put the info up on the Go-Go's page...and possibly create an entirely new page for that project. This froSTed page is now officially dead. You won't find any new info here unless the main Cherry Bombs page says so.
peace, out FLAKES.
