USS HUNT

DD674


The USS HUNT DD 674 was a Fletcher class destroyer.



She served in WWII from Sept 43 to Sept 45 and earned NINE battle stars
and a Philippine Unit Citation awarded by the Philippine Government.

She later served in the Korean, and Vietnam conflicts.

(March 15, 1924-September 21, 2001)
Dominic Legato GM2/c (author) was a plank owner and escorted her along with 24 other shipmates from the Kearny Shipbuilding shipyard to Brooklyn Naval Base in Sept 1943.
