Database System for Pocket PCs

Pocket DB is a database program designed for the new generation of Windows CE-based color Pocket PCs, specifically the Casio E-115, 125, EM-500 Compaq iPaq H363XX,, and HP Jornada 54X Series. Pocket PCs. The program should also work on the other color Pocket PCs of the same category.

Using Pocket DB, you can create/remove new tables, indices, add/remove records on your Pocket PC. Data can be accessed under both "Grid View" and "Record View" modes. You can search for data using one of three different search modes: "Whole Field", Start of Field", and "Any Part of Field".

Advanced users can issue SQL statements directly to the ADOCE engine to have total control over their tables using joining, linking, indexing, multi-level sorting, etc. DDL (Data Definition Language) commands on table operations, index operations, and universal operations are also supported.

The Professional Edition of Pocket DB includes a desktop application called PocketDBUtils that allows you to transfer Microsoft Access tables to/from the device. Using PocketDBUtils, you can export tables and queries from Microsoft Access to your mobil device, add/edit/update the tables, and import them back to Access at a later time.

Because of the limitation of the current ADOCE version, this release of Pocket DB can only transfer tables between the Pocket PC and desktop. Synchronization is currently not supported! Hopefully table synchronization will be supported in the next release of ADOCE, and thus will be supported in Pocket DB. For now, you'll just have to remember whether a table on the Pocket PC or on the desktop was last modified so you can overwrite the older one.

• Supports both "Grid View" and "Record View" modes.
• Supports 3 search modes: "Whole Field", "Start of Field", and "Any Part of Field".
• Sorts any field in ascending or descending order.
• Retrieves records using filter that meets certain criteria.
• User-adjustable grid properties such as column width, forecolor, backcolor, etc.
