A bit of Down Under, over here. We raise emus, Australian Cattle dogs, Aboriginal camp dogs, and Australian Saddle Ponies here in Northern Nevada, which is quite similiar to the Outback.

American Australian Saddle Ponies
A Special Breed for Special People

The Australian people are a sensible, pragmatic lot who don't see a lot of sense in being well-bred, unless your breeding shows in your performance. That is why they have theAustralian Saddle Pony. They have taken the best of several different breeds to get the very best saddle pony possible. These ponies are pretty, sensible, tough and talented. They excel in the showring in conformation classes, in-hand classes, as jumpers, and in driving classes. Their friendly, docile temperment and nice small horse size make them excellent family and children's ponies as well as flashy carriage ponies.

The American Australian Saddle Pony is following in the footsteps of the Australian Saddle Pony Registry. When you buy an American Australian Saddle Pony, you are backed by the AASP Registry. Every pony is required to be branded with the breeders brand, and every pony registered must carry the farm's surname. So your pony is alway traceable to the breeder, as well as protected from theft.
The Stud Book is currently open to a few English breeds of ponies and to Arabians measuring 14 hands and under. Before being admitted into the Stud Book, all outcross ponies must meet rigid conformation and disposition standards. Geldings of unknown or other pony breeds may be registered if they qualify and meet the breed standards.
