The "Dory II" is a wooden sailboat, self-designed and -constructed.
After five years of construction I started sailing her in the Adriatic in 1979 for three years. In 1982 we went to the Aegean Sea and she has been stationed on the Turkish west coast in Kusadasi-Marina till today.
I am a journalist by profession and have been sailing for over 40 years. My nickname is "Benz" and since I am retired I can use the boat more often. Two months in spring and two in fall are the best time in the Aegean. I am doing the service to the boat at the same time. A wooden boat needs a lot of care. If you have any questions about building your own boat, go ahead and ask them and IŽll try to answer them.
