Worsted-weigth yarn- 7 oz variegated; 1 yd ecru 1/8" satin ribbon; tapestry needle; craft glue or hot glue run; G crochet hook or size needed to obtain
gauge.
Gauge: 4 sts - 1" 3 dc rows and 2 sc rows = 2"
BACK:
Row 1: Ch 31, dc in 4th ch from hook, dc in each ch across, turn (29 dc)
Row 2: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn
Row 3: Ch 3, dc in each st across, turn
Rows 4-73: Repeat rows 2 and 3 alternately, At end of last row, do not turn.
Rnd 74: Working around outer edge in sts and in ends of rows, ch 1, 2 sc in first row, sc in each sc row, 2 sc in each dc row and sc in each st around,
join with sl st in first sc (278 sc)
Note: For shell, (2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc) in next st.
Rnd 75: ch 1, sc in each of first 2 sts, *(skip next st, shell in next st, skip next st, sc in next st ) 27 times, sc in next st*, repeat between ( ) 7 times, sc in next st; repeat between * * , sc in next st; repeat between ( ) 6 times, skip next st, shell in next st, skip next st, sc in last st, join,
fasten off.
Pocket (make 2)
Row 1-15: Repeat same rows of Back. At end of last row, do not, turn.
Rnd 16: Repeat rnd 74 of Back, fasten off (104 sc)
Row 17: For top rim, with right side facing you, join with sc in top right hand corner, (skip next st, shell in next st, skip next st, sc in next st) 7
times, fasten off.
With wrong side of Pockets to right side of Back,sew side and bottom edges of one pocket over rows 8-25 of Back. Sew sides and bottom edge of other
Pocket over rows 1-17 of Back overlapping bottom of first Pocket.
Cut Cut ribbon into 9" lengths. Tie one length into a bow around st at top center of top Pocket. Tie remaining lengths around sts evenly spaced down center of bottom Piocket. Glue ends in place.

Make 2. With red ch 10.
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch and in each rem ch (9 sc) Ch 2, turn.
Row 2: Hdc in 2nd ch and in each sc; work 2hdc in last sc. Ch 2, turn.
Rows 3-11: Hdc in 2nd ch and in each hdc; work 2 hdc last hdc (29)hdc), turn.
Rows 12-13 Hdc in each hdc across, turn.
Rows 14-24 Work 1st 2 hdc tog; hdc in each hdc; work last 2 hdc tog, turn (5 hdc). Hold the 2 pieces together and attach black at row 6. Join work together with a round of sc ending row 6 opposite side (this is the top) Do not fasten off yarn but continue working up One Piece only.
Head:

Finishing:
Attach frog eyes For hanger, attach black yarn to top back side. Ch 15 and attach opposite side with sl st. Pull tight.

Uses Knit-cro-sheen, few yards each orchid pink and spring
green; size 5 hook.
Starting at hull of strawberry with green, ch 16. Join with
sl st to form ring.
Row 1: Ch 3, dc in joining. (2dc in next ch) 6 times; ch 4,
turn.
Row 2: Dc in next dc, (ch1,dc in next dc) 11 times; ch 1, dc
in turning ch (13 sp). Fasten off; turn.
Row 3: With pink sc in first ch-1 sp, (ch 3, sc in next sp)
12 times (12 sp); ch1, turn.
Row 4: Sc in first sp, * ch3, sc in next sp; repeat from *
across (11 sp); ch1, turn. Repeat last row, working 1 less
sp on each row until 1 sp remains. Fasten Off.
EDGING: With pink sl st over st at beg of Row 3, ch 3, sc
over st at end of next row, * ch3, sc 1/4" along edge;
repeat from * around strawberry, ending ch 3, sl st over st
at other end of Row 3. Fasten off. With green sl st over
loop at top of hull, ch 60, sl st in each ch; fasten off.
Cut thirteen 2 1/2" strands green. Draw halfway through end
of chain; fold in half; tie tightly 1/4" below fold for
tassel.

ASSEMBLY: With yarn needle and length of light blue yarn, sew small pockets
to the front bottom of large pocket. Sew large pocket to front bottom of
back.
BED RAIL TIES (make 2)
With light blue yarn, ch 100, sl st in 2nd ch from hook, sl st in each rem ch
across, fasten off.
Insert each tie arounddc sts of Rows 6 and 7.
Insert Rows 21-38 of caddy under mattress. Tie lt blue ties in a bow around
bed rail.
Bingo Dauber Bag
G Hook
1.5 oz worsted weight Yarn (Chenille, Cotton, or Acrylic)
Chain 20, sc in second chain from hook and each chain; 3 sc in last chain
Working along the back side of the chain, sc in each chain and do 2 sc in
beginning sc. Do not join - just do a sc in each sc. This creates a
bag, sl st in final sc to end round. Make it 1/4 inch taller than the
dauber. Do not turn.
Chain 5, skip next sc and do dc, chain 3 in next sc; repeat around and
join to 3rd chain of beginning chain 5.
Slip stitch to chain 2 space, chain 1, sc in same space. *chain 3, sc in next

Microwave Heating Pad
Rice may be heated 30-40 times and then replaced. Feels great on a sore neck or shoulder!
SUPPLIES:
2 - 5" x 9" pieces of flannel
1-1/2 cups converted (not instant) rice
Place wrong sides together and sew edges taking in a 1/2" seam allowance. Leave a small space for turning. Turn right side out, add rice, and sew closed.
TIP:
Crochet a cover for it using a single stitch if you like!
Terry cloth may also be used - recycle those ragged towels! Fingertip towels folded lengthwise also work great.
BOOKMARK BOOKWORM BUDDY
Needs: 8 yds worsted weight yarn(variegated yarn looks nice)
Size G crochet hook
2 small craft eyes or felt.
optional: felt scraps for mouth
pompom maker to make small pompom for tail
Ch. 65. Turn. 5 dc in 3rd ch from hook, (3 dc in next ch) 12 times. 2 dc and 1 sc in next ch, drawing yarn through to finish off.
Make small pompom and attach to end of tail. For eyes make 2 french knots or make them out of felt or use wiggly craft bought eyes. Tie a piece of yarn to top of head and fluff it out for hair.
Or crochet a BEANIE HAT:
With color of choice, Ch3. Sl st into ring. Sc around for 2 rows. Sc in every other sc in the 3rd row and draw yarn through to finish off. Attach to head with french knot.
Make a tongue by knotting a bit of red yarn in his mouth. Or give him whiskers by hooking yarn through the front of his face in a fringe. Use your imagination--possibilities are endless!
