1997 was a Bang of a Year for The Drug Fighter!! It began with Drug Fighter appearances at MLKJr Day in Atlanta followed by a visit to kids in New Jersey to deliver the important message of "no drugs". During Black History Month, The Drug Fighter visited a number of schools in the Atlanta area and was received with fantastic enthusiasm from the kids. A major impact for 1997 was The Drug Fighter's performance at the Dobbins '97 Air Force Open House Airshow, where Computer Renaissance of Atlanta were official sponsors, along with support from Redner Ad Company and The Dive Shop. A special youth Airshow was held at McCollum Airport in Cobb County for the kids of Cobb County schools. Seeing The Drug Fighter fly his Pitts S-2B with the smoke on and doing his patented emergence from the smoke on the ground, receiving autographs, and an opportunity to meet and talk with The Drug Fighter in person, turned into a day to be remembered for a lifetime for these kids!! Capping off the year, The Drug Fighter welcomed Santa Claus, who arrived in a new Cessna 172 (Rudolph was home grazing comfortably), to Yule Cap '97 hosted by the Civil Air Patrol and sponsored by Computer Renaissance. Over 300 children recieved toys and gifts and got to meet and see The Drug Fighter in person!! 1998 promises to be a fantastic season as well. It will begin with a cross-country tour "Flight Against Drugs"....that's right...F-L-I-G-H-T Against Drugs...The Drug Fighter will span coast-to-coast spreading his message of "No Drugs" to kids.
