  • Book Discussion Group - books discussed include "Where Peachtree Meets Sweet Auburn" and "Singing In The Comeback Choir".
  • Delta Academy - activities include Baltimore's Inner Harbor Maryland Science Center; Kwanzaa Presentation at Sorority Meeting; packaging toiletry baskets for Montgomery County Community Service Day; trip to the NBC-4 Health and Fitness Expo; Black History Month Study on Black Scientists; Sisterhood Sleepover; Career Awareness Seminar and participation in "Take Your Daughter To Work Day"; hands-on science experiments at the Rockville Science Day; and "Surfing the Internet" Computer Training class.
  • Economic Development - support of African American owned business, DanSha' Products who specializes in unique silk floral arrangements and Business Entrepreneurship Seminar at chapter meeting.
  • Educational Development - supported two students to go on the Black College Tour; Adopt-A-School Program at Glen Haven Elementary School which included Giant and Safeway receipt donations and assisting with afternoon tutoring and the ESOL (English Speakers of Other Languages) classes.
  • International Awareness and Involvement - study of several Caribbean islands and International Food Tasting at chapter meeting.
  • Physical and Mental Health - Alzheimer's Memory Walk; Blood Pressure Screenings at chapter meetings; National Clinical Depression Campaign and Community Outreach Project that gave the clinical test to over 150 people; and a guest speaker at sorority meeting during Cancer Awareness Month.
  • Political Awareness and Involvement - participation in Maryland Council of Delta's (MCD) Political Awareness Workshop; MCD Delta Days in Annapolis; Delta Days in Nation Capital; Delta Day at the UN; Voter Registration Training; and letter writing campaign in support of affirmative action.
  • Community Outreach - Storybook Project at Montgomery County Women's Detention Center which provides female inmates with the opportunity to record a story and send the book, tape, and tape recorder to their child(ren) - this Project continues to be highlighted in National and Local Papers; International Day of Service - AIDS Awareness;  school supply donation to Glen Haven Elementary School; toiletry, canned foods, and women clothing donation to the Mt. Calvary Helping Hands Center for women and children; and Christmas Drive which included clothing and toy donation to Greentree Homeless Shelter in Bethesda, a Baptist Home for children and families.
