DREAMS

Send me Your Dream Poem - is anyone dreaming?

Awakened By Your Love

A shadow against the sunset
strong arms and a soft sweet smile
A voice telling me don't give up
I will be there in awhile

Is this fantasy or is it fact
does it really matter at all?
Who is this tall stranger
why can't I see his face?

Shadows are bearing down on me
the  coldness is penetrating my skin
I'm on a journey to hell's back gate…
why can't I see his face?

Angels are dancing around my bed
rainbows are shooting out light
A stranger gently kisses my lips
and tells me it's all right

The thunder crashes
and the lighting strikes.…
an awakening has happened here

I saw his face
it was the face of love
a miracle happened here.

Easy Decision

As I lie here on my side
fast asleep am I
a puppy curled at my feet
another at my chest

I am floating high above
decision to be made
should I stay or leave
heaven gates or remain?

Thoughts and pictures
running through my mind
some of yesterday

Saw myself as a boy
as a man today
memories of long ago
those of just today

Playing with friends of past
hide and seek, running fast
games that kids do play

Sitting with my wife and kids
under shade of tree
watching soccer game
in which our Catheryn played

Looking back at all of that
seeing this of today
I know I love it here
think that I will stay.

His Love is Not Enough

Inside my soul
the night has overthrown
The sunlight to which my heart
once knew

He left me here
to chose my path
I'm lost again
in a lonely maze
A bitter feeling grows

He said he'd be here forever
Within my mind
I see his shape
He's walking towards me
In his hand, he holds a yellow rose
And the promises he forgot to keep

I burry my face in his chest
As he holds me tight with loving arms
My emotions overflow
Tears stream angrily down my face
A river bound for Hope

He still holds me close
And whispers in my ear"I love you"
as another tear is shed.
Tears of pain and laughter, gone
Of love, they must remain.

I look into his eyes
It isn't him at all
More tears begin to flow
The memories are haunting me
All of which, this stranger knows

Who is this man?
He tricked me so
I thought I'd found my love again
Instead of pain, I find a friend
And his love is not enough.

Asleep

Asleep, my angel's lying down
Resting weary eyes
Asleep, my angel's in her bed
Underneath the skies

Asleep, my angel's quiet now
She does not breathe a word
Asleep, my angel's straight and still
Never to be heard

Asleep, my angel's resting now
Please don't make a sound
Asleep, my angel is at peace
Underneath the ground

Asleep, my angel's over me
Watching from above
Asleep, my angel's still with me
Living through my love

Asleep, my angel's been so long
Her body chilled because
There's room for her in heaven above
For me, I wish there was
If only I could sleep

Naked Butts

Naked Butts run through my house
I must catch them before they're cold
Run to my towel like Mickey Mouse
"You'll catch you're death!" I scold

These naked butts are prominent
They are hiding away from me
I'll put a sign "Naked butts for rent"
Pajama pants I'll send them free

Cover those naked butts I try
It's time for snack and books and bed
I yell, I talk, I scream, I cry
I even threaten to make them red

Finally, Naked butts come back
I am relieved I say
All dressed and eating snack
Tomorrow is another day
