Easter Creek Appaloosas & Miniatures ... Our Farm
Our farm has been described as charming,
quaint, and full of character.
We are not your typical "ranch" with sprawling
acres of grass pastures. We thoroughly enjoy our wooded setting and
the privacy and shade it affords. Our small paddocks are easy to maintain
and offer us several different options for turnout of our motley crew! The
smaller size of our facility allows us to pay attention to every detail.
This is where you will probably find us when the barn
chores are through! Pool designed and
built by Dave Vosbury Of Custom Pools.
Our facilitites
At Easter Creek, our full-size and miniature facilities
are separate. They consist of our full-size barn, our miniature barn, and
tack and feed building all opening to a central
"court yard" area. We also have a 10'x10' fenced play area for our children
that borders this courtyard, so they are safe and also visible from most
areas in and around the barns.
Full size horse barn with (2) 10'x16' and (2)10'x12'
stalls, concrete aisleway, shavings storage for 18 cubic yards,
and covered horse trailer parking
Miniature horse barn with (4) 6'x10' stalls and
hay storage for over 100 bales of hay, in addition to wheelbarrows and other
neccessities.
Tack and feed building that measures 14'x40' with a
garage door for easy feed deliveries, a picture window to view the arena
and barns, "parking" for our pleasure and show carts, and full restroom
facilitites

And yes, as the farm name implies, we do have
a beautiful creek that runs the length of the property about 8 months
out of the year.
Please give us a call at (318)965-5969.
We are 30 minutes from the Shreveport International Airport, 20 minutes
from the riverboat cities of Shreveport/Bossier, and within walking distance
to the beautiful Cypress Lake/Black Bayou. We would be glad to hitch
up the cart to take you for a ride with one of the miniatures...or we can
saddle up one of our Appaloosas. You are also welcome to just stop
by for a cup of coffee! We look forward to hearing from
you!
