At least that's what they say. It's not quite that (except perhaps in my "Shifted Lands" RPG setting) but it's a nice middle sized city. Here's a few links to get you acquainted with it.
The official Boston web page. As awesomely exciting as one might expect, but there's information here.
This is the web site of the Boston Globe newspaper. Other Boston area businesses and institutions are also accessible here.
Want to see what Boston looks like? This is a link to WLVI channel 56's live cam, and it give you a nice view of the city unless the weather's bad (then you see gray) or they're using the microwave feed for other purposes. WLVI is the local WB affiliate, and seems to have the most syndicated SF and Fantasy TV shows (including Earth: Final Conflict and Xena) of any area station, and there's some news and stuff on the rest of the site. They are also accessible on AOL.
Obviously, our local science museum.
A web page with all sorts of "wicked good" stuff about Boston.
Links and stuff for the Boston area. If I should ever create a search engine, I think I'll call it "Yippee!" or "Whoop-de-do!".
And if you should happen to considered visiting our fair city, you should perhaps take a look at "When Visiting Boston..." so you can more effectively deal with underground creatures displaced by "The Big Dig".
