The Federation Internationale de Football Association( (FIFA))is the international ruling body for organized soccer. The membership of FIFA is made up of the national associations in 191 countries. Each national association is responsible for the administration of soccer within its own country. The United States Soccer Federation((USSF)) is the ruling body for organized soccer in the United States and is affiliated with the Federation International de Football Association. The USSF is made up of four regions covering the continental United States, Alaska and Hawaii. The United States Amateur Soccer Association ( (USASA))is a division of USSF and is responsible for the administration of amateur soccer in the United States. Region IV is made up of the State Associations of Alaska, Arizona, California-North, California-South, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming. The California Soccer Association-North (CSAN) is the ruling body of affiliated soccer in Northern California. As a State Association CSAN belongs to Region IV of the United States Amateur Soccer. CSAN is comprised of 30 amateur leagues playing in Northern California which is the area from the northern border of Bakersfield to the Oregon Border. These leagues are men's competitive and recreational leagues and women's competitive and recreational leagues. The Association is administered by an Executive Board which is elected by the Board of Directors. The Board of Directors is composed of the representatives of the various affiliated leagues. The Board of Directors is responsible for setting the policy for the Association. The Executive Board is responsible for carrying out the policies set by the Board of Directors and the daily operation of the Association.
