Saqqara - Pyramid of Teti I

This is the descending corridor that is the entrance to the pyramid of Teti I.  Of course, the handrails and the wooden floor were not there 4,500 years ago.  Those were recently installed so visitors to the tomb would not fall as they went in.  Mousey squeeked very happily from my vest pocket as we headed down the sloping passageway into the tomb.  He was very excited because even though the entrance seemed so dark and mysterious he knew that it was very safe because we were allowed inside.
