Welcome to Mousey's virtual tour of the Pyramid of Teti I at Saqqara.  Mousey visited several pyramids in Egypt.  He also visited the Step Pyramid of Djoser, The Red Pyramid of Snefru, the Bent Pyramid of Snefru and the Great Pyramid of Khufu.  Teti's Pyramid is much smaller than the great pyramids of Djoser, Snefru and Khufu, but it has one thing that none of those pyramids have: magical spells are carved in heiroglyphs on the walls of Teti's Pyramid.  These spells are called Pyramid Texts and eventually came to be a part of the ancient Egyptian Book of the Dead.

Point your mouse over any of the pictures below and click once. You will be taken to a page with a larger version of the picture, and Mousey will tell you a little about the pyramid and the picture.  From any page you can click on the arrows to go directly to the next page of the tour.  Mousey suggests that you start with the very first picture of the pyramid in the very first row.
