About Elanakens

Hello, we are Kenneth & Elaine Morgan from East Tennessee, known as "Elanakens Chihuahuas". Elanakens' involvement in breeding is that of a hobby. Ken is a long haul truck driver and I work full time at Citi Bank, both of which are our careers, but our chihuahuas are our lives. Years of loving and owning pet quality & rescue chihuahuas finally brought us luck in acquiring our first show chihuahua, Mickey M'og of Animal Haus "Mickey" and Ch Picasso's Harlequin Romance, "Willy". Mickey was very close to having his title, he had finished earning both his majors and was on the final path to his Championship, he had 13 points with two majors, needing only 2 single points to finish when a freak accident occurred involving a mistake while inserting a microchip at the clinic, which lead to his untimely death. Now Mickey's progeny are following in their father's and grandfather's footsteps by being on their way towards their Championship titles as well. Willy came second, but became our first chihuahua Champion. Now that Willy has finished his Championship, several of his progeny are showing great potential as well, and his sons Bandit and Rebel, and his daughter Lily, have also achieved thier Championships. Mickey's granddaughter and Willy's daughter Robin is our newest Champion, earning reserve to a 4 point major in her debut show, and two Four point majors in her second and third shows, from puppy class! Her third win was a Three point major and she finished her Championship on April 29, 2007. Keep checking back for updates on our progress in the ring with our rising stars!

In years past I have also shown and finished a very nice Pekingese male named Aladdin. Aladdin was the first dog that I finished the championship title of. Later I finished several championships in Chihuahuas, but Aladdin was my first, and this accomplishment will always hold a special place in my heart. Although I still have an admiration of the breed, I no longer share my home with these wonderful dogs. Aladdin was never bred, for various reasons, but primarily to focus my attention towards the breeding and showing of my Chihuahuas. I was also a member of the Pekingese Club of Georgia for some time.

All of our dogs live freely in our home and are a central part of our family. Our adult dogs are not available for sale.

I guess, to sum it all up, Elanakens Chihuahuas vision is to breed and enhance a quality chihuahua to AKC standards. Hopefully, the future will have people proud to have the Elanaken line listed in their pedigrees.

I am a member of:
The Greater Kingsport Kennel Club,
Carolinas Chihuahua Club,
and the Nashville Chihuahua Club

We hope you enjoy our web site, and hope to introduce you to our second hobby in the near future; the flowers that adorn our 3 acres here in Tennessee. Our early spring flowers were spectacular this year. Below are a few photos of my lovely Southern Magnolias as well as some of my other flowers with a beautiful East Tennessee view of my yard behind them.
