KALAMAZOO, Mich.--Billy Joel was right. There's a new band in town but you can't get the sound from a story in a magazine. That's okay though, because this isn't a magazine and Dead River Drag isn't aimed at your average teen. So try, for now, to get an idea about the sound. Take a long look at the grainy pictures, study the song titles as they flash before your eyes, let the lyrics make pictures in your mind, and before you know it, you'll be thinking about a sound with a soul instead of just a mindless hook.
